There was to be a party by the lake – a big one!
So many friends and family would be coming and so many plans had been made to once again make the most of this beautiful setting. But what if it rained? A marquee? Boring! Surfing the internet for ideas, we happened across a purveyor of Mongolian yurts. Brilliant! Our extraordinary event would have a sensational and elegant centrepiece.
Three months later, Forest Yurts was born.
Next to join our little team was Helene with her delightful interior design ideas. We have had highs and lows – mostly highs – and learned a lot along the way, which is why we are still in the glamping game!
Our business welcoming people to stay in style, under canvas in one form or another, has grown since 2011; in 2019 we met the demand for larger group bookings with Forest Bells.
We like to think that we are getting quite good at this now, and our online reviews back this up. Without the support and encouragement of our guests, we would be doing something sensible and dull. So thank you everyone for saying such nice things about us and coming back year after year!
